Balise, LEU and BEPT from ALSTOM Company of France are included in technology transfer project of "Wayside Balise Equipment for 200km/h EMU Train Control System" of MOR.

1. Main functions of Balise
Switchable balise: When train passes by balise, the data send by LEU will be converted to telegram, which will be sent to onboard equipment. when train passes by balise, in case there is no LEU data is received, the balise will send the default telegram to onboard equipment to check links between balise and LEU.
Fix balise: When train passes by balise, the balise will send the memory telegram to onboard equipment.

Balise is an intermittent information transmission system with large capacity. It can transmit signal data related to train running or position (position coordinate, curve semi-diameter, gradient, speed restriction condition and so on) to the train.

2. Main functions of LEU
LEU is safety trackside equipment, which links with TCC, and transmits the telegram from TCC to switchable balise; 4 switchable balises can be driven simultaneously, and the function of maintenance is available.

3. Main functions of BEPT
 Programming and read-back of balise telegram; read of balise manufacture serial number; Programming and read-back of LEU default telegram; maintenance operation of the interface between balise and LEU.
